Ways to Celebrate January As Thank You Month

January is Thank You Month. It may seem odd that there is a full month dedicated to the art of saying thanks but it's not. Properly saying Thank You is becoming a lost art form. This article as some rock solid ideas.

January is Thank You Month. At first glance it seems odd that there should be an entire month dedicated to the art of saying thanks. When you consider the fast paced rush of most people’s schedules it starts to make sense.

Saying Thank You really is an art form these days. Few gift givers get more than a rushed “thanks” as someone opens a package. Since January is Thank You Month why not slow down and take the time to say thanks in a special way?

If you are looking for ideas then you’ve come to the right place. This list will get you started on the best way to say the right words.

Send a handwritten note.

Some experts say that few handwritten notes are being sent than ever before. That’s not hard to believe. The advent of fax, email and text messaging is taking its toll on modern day communications. Why not take a few moments to celebrate January as Thank You Month by sending a card or by writing a short note to a person who has helped or gifted you in some way?

Make a phone call.

When is the last time you called someone just to say thanks? This is the perfect reason to pick up the phone and make the call. You’ll be glad that you did.

Email and text messaging.

Email and text messages are not the best ways to say thanks. Most of the time, it is better than nothing. If you can email an online card with pretty graphics or cute saying it’s better than a text message.

Send flowers.

If someone goes out of their way for you why not send flowers? Floral arrangements are a beautiful way to celebrate January as Thank You Month. They’re elegant and make an impact. If you want to send your appreciation to someone who lives out of town (or next door) this may be one of the best ways to do it.

Bake cookies.

Someone took time for you why not take time for them? Delivering a hand made plate of cookies is another great way to celebrate Thank You Month in January. This is a fun thing to do for Grandma or other relatives. It’s a project that kids will love to help with.

Small gift.

If the person you are thanking went the extra mile a small gift is always appropriate. It doesn’t have to be expensive to be thoughtful. A small glass box or figurine, picture frame or hobby item that he or she can use are all welcome ways to celebrate Thank You Month in January.
